Vico Jazz Festival

Immerged in the suggestive Chiostro della Santissima Trinit‡ of Vico Equense, comes back the Vico Jazz Festival, the musical review directed by Giovanni Amato and set in participation with the Campania Region. The 2010 edition presents four nights of international artists performances, who presents inedited cultural productions, musical languages and unique artistic expressions.
The Manhattan Transfer opens the review, a legendary band from USA, forged in 1969 by Tim Huser together with the vocalists Laurel MassË.

A journey through Renaissance to retrace the extraordinary life of Leonardo da Vinci. In absolute exclusive, Líautoritratto lucano, a self-portrait of the grand maestro and the reproductions of various machines designed by Da Vinci.

Plus, on display are works by Donatello, Raffaello, Tintoretto, some works by Giovanni Della Robbia, coming from the Museo Bellini in Florence, among which two sculptures of Dante and Petrarca and other masterpieces of the masters of the Italian mannerist school, big hangings and the puppets of Florentine tradition. The exhibition wants to investigate the theme of a genius through its many forms, in a century-old journey, along the historical and artistic stages of painting and mannerist sculpture. A mix of fantasies, false interpretations and mysteries characterizes this original itinerary where art is science

Infact itís the real place where is possible to taste an excellent fresh fish which arrive at local fisherman village “Marina Grande” with the ìCiancioleî (motorized fishing wood boats), full of various sorts coming from Capri, Nerano, Li Galli. Here the proprietor select personally the fishes for the daily use.
The restaurant have two rooms of 80 covers: the garden, ideal during summer, with its sunny colours and fitted up with taste and semplicity to feel at ownís ease, the inner more intimate and tasteful, suitable for Corporate Meeting, Birthday Anniversary or Wedding/Reception. La Fenice is one of Sorrento’s most popular restaurants.
